Welcome to the newly revamped Musing on Losing! Since I started my blog, my opinions about weight loss and health have changed radically. I have come to realize that life is too precious to spend it feeling like I can’t actually do the things I want to do until I reach some arbitrary “goal weight.” With this in mind, I have decided to focus a lot more on fashion on my blog. As a plus-size girl, it can be difficult to find beautiful clothes in my size – but I love fashion and would like to share my finds with other women who are in the same boat. As someone who has avoided being in photos for years, I decided that I was ready to step into the spotlight. Getting in front of the camera for my first blog photo shoot was a scary, exhilarating, and tremendously freeing experience. I hope you enjoy the results!
The fall 2018 leopard print trend doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, and I’m obsessed. I was lusting after this blazer from Eloquii for months before I finally made the purchase, but it was worth it. I’m combining two of my favourite things here – leopard print and blazers.
If you’re short like me (I’m 5’3″), you might find this blazer a little long, especially in the sleeves. Nothing a bit of tailoring can’t fix, but I haven’t yet made that investment. You can see where I rolled up the sleeves in the photos.
Despite the minor issues I had with fit, there’s no denying that this blazer is a beauty. I’m excited to have such a unique statement piece in my wardrobe.
