10 Plus-Size Fitness Brands to Up Your Workout Fashion Game in 2019

January 6, 2019 By Annette

I was chatting with a friend once who told me that she works out in her oldest, ugliest sweats. Not me – I always reach for the brightest, loudest, most fun activewear I can find. This week I’ve done a roundup of some size-inclusive and exclusively plus-size fitness brands that will definitely up your workout style game in 2019. I haven’t tried all of these brands, so if you have, please leave a comment! And if there’s another brand you love that’s excluded here, by all means let me know.

(Side note: there are no affiliate links here, I’m just sharing because I have tried and/or am interested in trying the following brands. Enjoy!)

Rainbeau Curves

This plus-exclusive brand is based in San Francisco and offers some great basics for your workout routine. Check them out here.

Shefit Sports Bras

It doesn’t get much more size-inclusive than this. I’m dying to try one of these high-support sports bras. If you have one, let me know how you like it in the comments!

Fabletics

The place to go for seriously pretty workout gear. Fabletics could do a better job of including plus-size models and influencers in their campaigns, but they have shown some improvement over the last few months. If you want your outfit to stand out in class, you might want to check them out.

Joe Fresh

Joe Fresh has done a lot for size inclusivity. They have a lot to choose from, the prices are rock-bottom, and the clothes fit well. My favourite workout tank is from Joe Fresh. You can see what they have to offer here.

Tema Athletics

This brand caught my eye for a few reasons. 1) they are size-inclusive; 2) they are highly engaged with their followers; 3) they are a women-owned small business; and 4) the clothes are seriously cute. They frequently have 50% off sales, so keep an eye out for that.

Glamorise Sport

These may not look as cool as the Shefit bras, but they are size-inclusive and have a lot of sizes and colours to choose from.

Your Day Won

Started by plus-size supermodel Candice Huffine in 2017, this brand looks so cool that I want to wear every single thing they make.

Girlfriend Collective

I found out about this brand from Fat Girl Flow’s Instagram. Size inclusive (up to 6XL!) and made from recycled water bottles, this brand’s offerings are a standout ethical choice.

Beyond Yoga

Pretty expensive, but with some unique designs you won’t find anywhere else (sparkly ombre leggings, anyone?)

Good American

Speaking of expensive…Khloe Kardashian’s fitness brand is just that, but also, just, so cool. This brand is big on inclusivity, and every design is available in all sizes. You can also choose to view the items on the website on size 0, 8, or 16 models.
