The animal-print trend is showing no signs of slowing down for summer. This time around, leopard has given way to snake. Not that I’m complaining.
This particular dress is one of Eloquii’s signature printed maxi dresses. They release it in multiple prints every season, and I have been curious about how they fit. When the snakeskin print hit the website, I finally made the purchase.
I generally find size 18 to be right for me; however, because I’m 5’3″ and small in the shoulders, it can be too big in some styles. You can see from the photos that this was the case here. My friend is going to help me alter the dress so that it fits my body better. I have also purchased this dress in the shorter version in a size 16 and it fits perfectly. So if you’re smaller on top you may want to size down.
Even though I’m on the shorter side, I found this dress to be the perfect length. I can wear it with either flats or heels. It’s stretchy, comfortable, and pretty much perfect. Because this one is too big for me, I wear a cami underneath for modesty.
The slit up the side goes as high as the knee, and makes the dress flow beautifully when you walk. I confess I feel a bit like a celebrity when I’m working a room in this dress. 😁
Despite the size issue, I’ve been reaching for this dress a lot. I get compliments every time I wear it, which is really fun! It definitely stands out in a crowded room.
