It felt absolutely amazing to get in the gym and to start my training, but boy, was I sore! My trainer told me that the best way to ease muscle soreness is to move more (she suggested walking and stretching), and I found that helped a lot. She also told me that a hot shower would help ease the discomfort. Women’s Health wrote an article on it a few years ago that offers some helpful suggestions for taking care of sore muscles.
My trainer said that the first week would be the worst for muscle soreness. Time to find out if she’s right!
