Leopard-print dress, three ways

April 13, 2019 By Annette

Look 1: The Dress

Seriously, how cute is this dress?

This cute leopard-print number came from an online boutique called Fox + Wit, based in BC. I’d been following them on Instagram for a while, but when Kaitlin Hargreaves showcased this dress on her page, I was sold. So what I’m saying is, Instagram made me do it.

It even has POCKETS!

The dress was backordered, and I finally received it in late February. The owner of the boutique, Janean, had found a quality issue with the dresses and sent them back to the manufacturer to be corrected. She let me know right away that this was the case and that I would be waiting a little longer for my order. I appreciated her transparency and attention to detail. Customer service done right.

Me, laughing at the fact that your dress doesn’t have pockets.

Was it worth the wait? This dress is soft, comfy, flattering, and has pockets, so I’d say so! I find it a little short for bare legs, so I paired mine with some comfy leggings and booties. I’m ready for my closeup and/or a nap.

Dress: Fox + Wit

Look 2: The Blazer

Like a boss.

If I want to feel dressed up, I usually throw a blazer over whatever I’m wearing and call it a day. Blazers are my fair- and foul-weather friends, and this look is no exception. I find that the red really pops against the leopard print. The blazer gives the dress a little more shape, which as a petite girl, I appreciate. This particular blazer is the Bryant Blazer from Lane Bryant in Venetian Red. I scored this one on clearance a couple of months ago and it’s been a staple in my wardrobe ever since.

Blazer: Lane Bryant

I feel like the owner/curator of an art gallery in this look. Love it.

Look 3: The Faux-Fur Coat

It could be argued that this doesn’t really constitute a separate “look” per se, but it’s my blog so that’s what I’m calling it. Honestly, if it involves lavender faux-fur, it is definitely a look.

The world’s coziest coat meets the world’s comfiest dress.

I love the texture of this luxurious coat against the leopard print. If you’ve ever doubted that leopard could function as a neutral, seeing how well it works with this lavender faux-fur topper should settle the question. The coat has sadly sold out – hopefully Eloquii will make more next winter.

Conclusion: All in all, I’m loving this dress. If you’re looking for a striking yet versatile piece in your wardrobe, look no further.

Have a lovely day! – Annette
